This brand concept was originally developed in May as part of my senior capstone course. Previously, I worked with a team and we decided to name the distillery ‘Borderline Distillery.’ In February 2022, I decided to revisit this idea and give it a refresh.

The Brown Water Brotherhood is a invite only club that gathers during Kentucky’s horse racing season to drink bourbon, smoke cigars, & discuss the races.
When creating the logo, I wanted to pay tribute to not only Kentucky’s iconic bourbon industry, but also the Kentucky Derby. Distressed illustrations of a bourbon bottle and roses were incorporated into the logo to reflect what was previously mentioned. Brand colors were selected to reflect colors used by prominent bourbon brands across KY.

While working closely with the client, a brand identity that compliments the production company’s name was developed.
